UCSC Grand Prix

Just like that, the first UCSC hosted meet of 2025 has come and gone! A huge thank you to meet management, all the volunteers, the officials, and the parents for their unwavering support throughout the event.

With an unconventional format – Friday’s racing in short course, followed by long course on Saturday and Sunday, it could have been a challenge for the swimmers to adjust. Transitioning to the long course part of the season often comes with a bit of a learning curve, but you wouldn’t have known it! The weekend was filled with incredible best times and fast swims from athletes of all levels across the club.

Every race is a chance to learn and grow. It's essential for athletes to reflect on their performances over the weekend, identify a few key takeaways (with their coach), and focus on improving those areas every day during practice. By doing so, they will continue to refine their skills for the next meet and continue to progress as we move through the year, and beyond.

Congratulations to everyone who participated, and we look forward to continuing to watch you race in 2025!
